Family Promise of Pulaski County
Family Promise of Pulaski County (FPPC) opened its doors in Pulaski County Ark. in 2005 as the Interfaith Hospitality Network. A non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, our mission is to help homeless families with children to achieve independence, and to provide area congregations with local mission activities.
Family Promise of Pulaski County enables religious groups to work collectively to unite hearts and hands, providing shelter, meals, and compassionate assistance for families in need. Host congregations provide safe, clean, overnight lodging and nutritious meals.
Family Promise of Pulaski County is a niche ministry, serving families defined as a two or single parent head of family with children under 18 years. We only serve four families or up to 14 individuals at a time. Families are carefully screened prior to entry into the program.
Because it’s difficult to pack up your family and your belongings every week and move to a different church, Family Promise is not for every homeless family, but for families who persevere, the money they earn while in the program can go into their savings account to help with deposits on a their home and to get utilities turn on.
Moving day, when a guest family secures adequate housing, is like graduation, birthday celebration, and a honeymoon all rolled into one!
Family Promise has been a mission of Westover Hills since 2006.
