First Wednesday Dinner and a Program
We like food and we like learning here at Westover Hills, and we get both of these through our “First Wednesday Dinner and a Program” series. We host this monthly event in our Fellowship Hall (basically a basketball court with a kitchen) on most first Wednesdays. It starts around 5:15 p.m. with a dinner provided by different groups in the church (church food!), and the program gets underway at 6:00 p.m. and runs until about 6:45 p.m. when the choir leaves for its weekly rehearsal. Over the years, we’ve heard presentations on everything from Habitat for Humanity to the renovations at the Arkansas Arts Center, and from Janet Carson on gardening to Susan McDougal on the importance of our own personal stories. It’s free and open to the public, so we hope you’ll join us for some food and smarts.
