Second Sunday Mission is the name given to a project which was begun by the Service Committee several years ago which collects donations for a specific charity. Originally the collection was designated for the second Sunday of each month but was soon expanded to continue for the entire month.  Charities which have benefited from the generosity of Westover Hills members have included Little Rock Stewpot, Women and Children First, Arkansas Rice Depot, Arkansas Food Bank, Vera Lloyd Pettus House and many others.  Though the focus of Second Sunday Mission has usually been on local charities, the scope has been broadened to benefit victims of regional or national crises.
